9XTimes Second Line: Rhythm as Legacy
The 9th Ward streets became a canvas, painted in brass and footsteps. Horns rose like prayers, drums answered like heartbeats, and the crowd carried it all forward in a tide of joy. The 9XTimes Second Line was not just a parade — it was a ritual, a hymn stitched together by sweat, laughter, and memory.
Every step was a story. Every sway of the crowd was a reminder that New Orleans does not forget — it dances its history alive. The second line is not walked; it is conjured. It summons ancestors, it summons joy, it summons the pulse of a city that refuses silence.
Through my lens, I caught fragments of eternity: faces lit by music, children lifted on shoulders, elders nodding to rhythms they’ve known all their lives. These photos are not just documentation — they are artifacts of resonance, proof that legacy is alive in the streets.
The 9XTimes Social Aid & Pleasure Club has carried this tradition for decades, and each year the parade becomes a ritual of remembrance and renewal. To witness it is to step inside the heartbeat of New Orleans. To photograph it is to honor that heartbeat, to hold it still for a moment, and to share it with the world.
The photos and videos I make are just a way to Experience the second line with me the photos are an invitation to feel the rhythm, to see the joy, to remember the legacy.
And beyond this parade, I bring the same dedication to every project. Whether you need photography, videography, graphic design, shrediting, digital marketing, or custom media, I create with clarity, resonance, and legacy in mind.
