Snow in the South- A Baton Rouge Winter

I didn’t believe the forecast. Who would? Snow in Louisiana? That’s not real life.

But then I walked outside… and it was. Real snow. Falling softly over cars and rooftops. Kids, grown kids, already running through it like it was a snow globe come to life.

This video is a snapshot of that morning. No one had real winter gear, so we improvised: socks on our hands, five jackets deep, slipping around like toddlers who couldn’t care less. Laughter was everywhere. Snowball fights broke out. Pets chased flakes like they were catching dreams. It felt like the whole complex hit pause just to feel something rare.

It’s upbeat. Joyful. Messy and cinematic. And it means something to me, because it’s not just about snow. It’s about witnessing a moment none of us thought we’d get, and letting ourselves be kids again in the middle of it.

This is Louisiana. This is TAS. And this is what wonder looks like when you stop doubting and step outside.
